“Where the Handshake Outlasts the Checkered Flag.”
At 802 iRacing Leagues, we believe a league should exist for its racers—not because of them.
Our members do not exist to fund broadcast fees, fill a car count, or keep a league operating. The league exists to provide our members with a place they genuinely want to race.
Our goal is to build a core group of racers who value camaraderie, respectful competition, good racecraft, and sportsmanship. We want drivers who can race hard against each other on the track and still shake hands when the checkered flag falls.
That philosophy influences every decision we make.
None of our weekly series charge an entry fee. Instead of asking our racers to continually put money into the league, we’re working to build an ecosystem that gives something back to the people who contribute to making 802 what it is. Product giveaways and other rewards are our way of recognizing the drivers who consistently show up, compete in the right spirit, and help build the environment we’re looking for.
We’re equally committed to the quality of our broadcasts. If we’re going to put the 802 name on a broadcast, we want to work with broadcasters who take the racing seriously, tell the stories of our drivers, and present our series professionally. Quality matters more to us than simply being broadcast.
Just as importantly, 802 is a zero-toxicity environment.
We will never keep a problem driver simply because we need another car on the starting grid. We will never overlook behavior because someone is fast, popular, has been here a long time, or happens to be friends with an administrator.
No individual is more important than the environment we’re building together.
We would rather have a smaller field of racers who respect one another than a packed field where people dread showing up every week.
We’re trying to build something sustainable—a community where people come for the racing but stay because they enjoy the people they’re racing with.
That’s what 802 is supposed to be.
Good people. Good racecraft. Great competition. No toxicity.
And above all:
Where the Handshake Outlasts the Checkered Flag
